HOW TO GET FROM DUBAI AIRPORT TO CITY CENTER

Its good to know that Dubai transportation officially make it necessary for travelers to buy a NOL card while traveling because cash transaction is not applicable in metro, public buses and taxi’s, and water buses across dubai.

WHAT IS NOL CARD:

In Dubai NOL Card is authorised by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), is a kind of prepaid smart cards generally use by expats and travellers across dubai while travelling.
There are 4 kinds of prepaid cards designed to meet the needs of residents as well as first time visitors. Among them, the Silver Card and Red Ticket are the most suitable options for travellers.
The Silver Card anyone can be purchased it at AED 25 ($6.81). This card allows visitors to enjoy the rides on all modes of transport.
The Red Ticket facility is available at any ticket vending machine at a very cheap price – AED 2 ($0.54). However, this paper ticket only allows ticket holders to ride a mode of transport at ones. That means you need to buy another ticket to use on different kind of vehicles.

1. DUBAI METRO

 
Dubai Metro system has 2 Metro lines: Red Metro line and Green Metro Line respectively.
Visitors who want to head to The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Emirates Grand Hotel, or Towers Rotana Hotel can alight at Financial Centre station from airport’s Terminal 3 (T3) or Terminal 1 (T1) you can reach at Downtown Dubai via taking a Red Line metro. Those have a booked room at Sofitel Hotel, Armani Hotel, or Taj Dubai Hotel should take off the metro at Burj Khalifa Dubai Mall station.
If your desired destination is close to to Dubai Creek, then you have to take a Green Line metro on the Airport Free Zone.
This Dubai transport service lets passengers to tour with (only) 2 pieces of luggage. So make sure that you carry handbag or backpack that fit your need in case you plan to go together with this mode of transport. In Dubai metro it takes 25 minutes to from terminal 3 (T3) to Burj Khalifa Dubai mall station.

2. DUBAI PUBLIC BUSES

To getting from Dubai airport to city center on a bus is also a good option. The amount you pay for metro is not the same nor the travel time riding a bus takes roughly twice as long as using metro service.
However, You need to purchase an NOL card in advance as you can not pay cash to the driver. Buses run at regular intervals from 05:30 to 01:00
There are bus stops at airport terminal T1 and T3 and the terminal T2. Take bus no. 43 from T1 if you want to go to Dubai Festival City and bus no. 44 will take you to Al Ghubaiba bus station in 1.5 hours.
You can alight at Al Ghubaiba or Unique Square station they are both are bus interchange for intercity or inter-emirate bus route.
Bus Fare: It will cost you AED 5 ($1.36) for traveling from T1 to Al Ghubaiba bus station.

3. DUBAI AIRPORT TAXI

While traveling from Dubai International Airport to central city taxi is the best option if you arrive at any time in dubai . All the taxis services in the dubai airport are authorised by government operated Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC).
The taxis will surely take you anywhere you want to go in dubai. you’ll need to specify your location nearby your hotel were you stay, or any landmark, or an intersection because Dubai doesn’t have pin codes. Taxi services are available 24 hours.
